In business to keep your competitive edge you have to continue to grow your personal development. Personal development can come with a plan but it should just be a natural part of who you are as a matter of fact you should get to the point where you do not even think of “personal development” as a separate part of your life it should be who you are.

Challenge Yourself

Sometimes it is easier to just stay with the job that offers a safe bet but it will not help you to grow professionally. Challenging yourself regularly by forcing yourself to learn new things and meet new career goals is a great way to improve your person.

By challenging yourself to learn new things and take on career steps that require that you make changes once you succeed and look back you will marvel at the person you have become because of those challenges that were successfully met.

Expose Yourself

You can choose who and what you expose yourself too. This is a profound thought. When you expose yourself to successful people and watch as they maneuver through their lives you are learning. When you expose yourself to negative thoughts and ideas you are also learning.

Choose carefully what you read and who you spend both your professional and personal time with because those factors play a role in your own personal development.

Keep it together!

Many people in business live too very different lives. They develop and business persona and another persona for home or off hours. The goal is to develop into one rounded person. Maintain the same thought process whether you are at work or at home.

Utilize the same goal outlooks for both your business life and your personal life. In other words if your “positivity” is just for work than you are wasting half your life. Don’t fake it actually live it.

Do It Every Day

Learn and apply one new thing per day. Practice always makes perfect. The more you practice personal development techniques the more they will become who you are. You cannot take all the other steps without practicing.

A lot of people get stuck in their own personal development because they feel they do not have the time. The reality is the key word in “personal development” is personal. You have to do it for yourself, life can swallow you up whole before you know it so make the time every day to improve who you are.

Positive Postured Thinking

How much is thinking positive really influence whether or not you have success? So for anyone that is actually watch the secret, you would recognize that the concept is that you attract whatever you put out in the world.

The idea is that if you are worried all the time you put out worry and that you attract more problems and concerns and worry into your life. So is it true? Well, it could be argued that it is true based on many different writing sources. For example the Bible says sow and you shall reap (Galations 6, 7-10) the same thing.

In essence the Bible says the exact same thing that if you are selling worry into the world around you and you will reap worry around from the world around you.

Then there’s always that family member that each one of us has that is always angry. And that angry relative seems to have a knack for having the most complicated situations arise in their lives.

So there has to be some merit to it. I remember being really excited about a business that I started, as long as I maintain a really positive outlook on the business, it seemed to do well. During times when I was more stressed out and worried about it it seemed not do as well.

But yet is there undeniable truth that like attracts like? I think this is the part in our lives where faith comes in the play.

The one thing that I am definitely sure about is that when I was younger I was working for a bank. I had this idea that one day I work for an international company. I even remember the manager giving me a really hard time. She tried to embarrass me in front of all of the other employees by saying you know he just thinks that anything he wants he can have, all yes to do is walk out of this front door and there’s a pot of gold there. But I hate to bust the news to you that’s not how life works.

You know she was right. That’s not how life work for her. However, it seemed to work a little differently for me.

It wasn’t long after that very conversation that I met a man who introduced me to another man who ended up hiring me for his company.

Within about six short months I was traveling internationally working for her European company.

Crazy right? They’re just does seem to be something to it.

So I guess for today I’ll envisioned my current company exploding and doing really well. I envision lots of clients and being in high demand. Further I envision helping people achieve their goals and successes that they’ve always desired. In return I am achieving my own.

What do you envision as possible today? Do you want to own your own company? Do you want to have the relationship that you’ve always wanted with the perfect partner? How about you just say it with me. I am grateful now that I have you fill in the blank this is your Christmas wish. Talk to you soon

Pathology and how things work these days.

The world of pathology is dominated these days by the insurance companies. With the advent of in-office laboratories owned by physicians. The way it typically works out is that you go to see a doctor, and he or she takes a biopsy. The doctors office then can choose where the biopsy goes. You can have it sent to the lab of his own choosing.

But these days, with many people don’t know is that the lab can be owned by the doctor. How is this possible? It is possible because a of a safe harbor exception. Typically doctors cannot own things that make the money that they can refer to from their offices. Rather, there always has to be in arm’s-length transaction at the heart of every medical decision.

But there are a few exceptions to this. One of them is ancillary laboratory services. The idea behind it is that doctors can get quicker results, and maintain higher levels of quality if they own and are involved in the lab.

The kicker is the doctor still doesn’t have complete free range and jurisdiction when it comes to his or her specimens. Everything is dictated by the insurance companies. Over the last couple of years different insurance companies like at not have required new credentials in order to get paid, to pay the physician for the services.

I feel it really depends on who is running the laboratory as to whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. In my mind, it works a little bit like this. If you have a good group of pathologist who maintain the laboratory., If you have a well-trained staff of histo-technologists and laboratory assistance, then you can guarantee great results. His labs have to be inspected by federal agencies in order to maintain compliance and licensing. So, all of the quality measures including how often they change their solutions how they track problems and incident reports, etc. Have to be monitored.

When it comes down to it, quality control measures are pretty rigorous and strict. It really is not easy to run a laboratory without extreme quality measures in place. As in most cases documentation always beats conversation and likewise so it is in the field of pathology. Things as incidental as names being misspelled on the report have a tremendous impact on your quality assurance levels.

Rigorous logs of detailed information regarding patients have to be kept. Courier logs must be kept to make sure that of specimens are transported her moved around they are accounted for. As one might imagine maintaining strict levels of quality is significant and extremely important when it comes to pathology. After all pathologist are the ones who diagnose things as severe as stages of cancer. None of these things can be left to chance.

It is possible for any individual to go and find report statistics from recent inspections for laboratories that your physician chooses. What you are looking for in order to determine the level and standard of the pathology lab, is deficiency reports and citations. Typically after most inspections any deficiencies will be noted. If the laboratory does not comply with the corrective action they can end up with the citation.

All of this information is public and you can access it by logging on to the state inspection site.
